‘Cúagilákv (Jess Housty) is a mother, writer, and community organizer from the Haíɫzaqv (Heiltsuk) Nation. Through her work as the executive director of Qqs (Eyes) Projects Society, she supports land-based healing and education initiatives by and for the Haíɫzaqv people. She lives in her unceded ancestral homelands in the village of Bella Bella, British Columbia.
