Amitabha Sarkar has got his Ph.D. from the Centre of Social Medicine and Community Health, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Amitabha is a scholar of international development of health politics. He has several journal articles and a regular contributor for several newspapers in India, including The Telegraph, Deccan Herald, and Anandabazar Patrika (Bengali daily). He is also a member of the People’s Health Movement (PHM India), and part of several progressive political collectives. He is currently associated with the Transnational Institute (TNI).
