I grew up unschooled in the wilds of the rural Southeast. In college, I studied agroecology and psychology while working with community gardens and private farms. So far, I’ve grown produce and raised livestock for families, five star restaurants, and tech companies.
For 2 1/2 years I lived and grazed cattle on Pepperwood Preserve in Sonoma County, California. Now I serve as Grazing Manager at Freestone Ranch in the North Bay region. I also manage the orchard at Occidental Arts and Ecology Center and work with Fibershed.
I am interested in soil, scale, psyche, sovereignty, and resource security. Most of my professional work revolves around restoring the bloodflow to dis-integrated systems.
