Hillary Clinton’s likely pick for Secretary of Agriculture will be a disaster in many ways for any and all efforts to revamp our approach to agriculture at any level except the industrial, high input model with all of its attendant problems.

When making the decision to be a pioneer in this different way of doing agriculture “…there is no way to know if one is called or deluded. The only way to know is to jump in and find out”.

The Occupy movement, unlike the peak oil/climate/Transition movement (?) is a bottom-up not a top-down approach. That appeals to the younger people and many of the older ones as well. What they are doing is not coming in the form of ‘delivered wisdom’ from the ‘experts in the field’ with their laundry list of what we ‘must’ do.
